PokerDownload.io is an independent editorial site that earns affiliate commission from some of the poker rooms we cover. Here's exactly how that works and what it means for you.
1. We get paid when you sign up
Most outbound links from PokerDownload.io to a poker room are affiliate links. If you click one and create an account and become an active depositing player, the room pays us either a one-time CPA (cost per acquisition) or a share of the rake you generate ("revshare"). We never receive your deposit, your card details, or any personal data from the room. They just tell us "this player came from PokerDownload.io" and pay us.
2. We never pay you less to play
The promo codes and bonuses on this site are the same,or better,than what you would get by going to the poker room directly. The room pays us a marketing fee out of their own margin. You don't pay more. In many cases our codes unlock exclusive deposit-match boosts or no-deposit bonuses that aren't advertised on the room's own homepage.
3. We do not let commission change scores
Our scoring framework is public,see any review. Scores are calculated across game variety, traffic, bonus value, license quality, payment speed, software quality, mobile experience, and responsible-gambling tooling. Affiliate commission is not a scoring factor. Two rooms with identical scores will be ranked alphabetically, not by who pays us more.
4. We publish rooms that don't pay us
Several rooms in our directory,including legacy New Jersey operators and certain regional sweepstakes brands,do not have affiliate programs we participate in. We cover them anyway when readers ask. Look for the "No affiliate link" badge on those reviews.
5. We disclose affiliation on every link
Every outbound link to a poker room has rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" in the HTML, which is what Google requires for affiliate links. You can verify this by inspecting any link on this site.
6. We refresh promo codes every 14 days
Promo codes are pulled from each room's official affiliate carrier (primarily bets.com.au) and verified against the live signup flow within 14 days of publication. If a code is dead, email us,we fix it that day.
7. We are not paid for editorial coverage
Operators do not pay us to write reviews. Operators do not approve reviews before publication. We don't take "sponsored content", "advertorials", or "guest posts". Every review is written by our editorial team using their own funds in the room.

9. Conflicts of interest
Where any member of the editorial team has a direct equity or consulting relationship with a poker room, that room is excluded from coverage. We currently cover no operator in which any editorial-team member holds equity.
